The Legacy Event Center has an occupancy limit of 125 people.

Rental times range from 3 hours for weekday events (Monday through Thursday) to 4-hour, 6-hour, or all-day events. An all-day event books the entire facility for the entire day, during our operating hours.
We are open Sunday-Thursday from 9am to 9pm and Fridays and Sundays from 9am to 12am. Our phones lines are monitored Monday-Friday from 9am to 6pm.
1. Complete a booking request. 2. Complete a facility tour (virtual or in-person) 3. Sign the Venue Rental Agreement (contract) and House Rules Acknowledgement Form 4. Pay Initial Deposit 5. Make the final payment 14 days before your event.

An initial deposit of 50% of the booking quote is required on all events on the date the contract is signed. The remaining balance must be paid within 14 days of your event. If your booking is made less than 14 days prior to the event, the entire rental amount will be due on the date the contract is signed. In the event that payment is not made in advance as directed, the event will be canceled, and the facility shall be made available for booking by another rental client. Cancellation (or rescheduling) of an event must be received in writing no later than 14 days prior to the event date to receive 50% of your booking deposit. In the event of cancellation by the District due to inclement weather, act of God, or any other reason outside of the control of the District, an attempt will be made to reschedule. In the event that a reschedule cannot be made, the District will refund all monies paid by the Rental Client.
Acceptable items to bring include table covers, decorations, music, food, serving warmers and utensils. No wall art and/or hanging decorations may be applied.
Yes, alcohol is allowed at the Rental Client's expense. The Rental Client assumes all responsibilities as the user of the facility.
A well-lit, landscaped, public parking lot surrounds our event center. There are 50 parking spaces in the immediate parking lot with additional parking in adjacent spaces around the facility.
Payments may be made via check or credit card payment. Credit card payments may be made online via the link that will be provided to the Rental Client. Checks may be mailed to the administrative office at 16383 FM 548, Suite 110, Forney, Texas 75126. Checks must be made out to Umemba Legacy Ventures LLC. Rental Clients can pay by check in person during administrative office hours (9am - 6pm, Monday through Friday).
A per-request change fee of $25 will be assessed if requests to change any aspect of the event are made after the Event Quote has been signed. These requests will only be granted if the Events Coordinator or their designee can reasonably accommodate the request. Rental client agrees to pay the charges listed on the signed Event Quote pertaining to space, facility, equipment and personnel needed in connection with their use of The Legacy Event Center. These charges will be outlined in the Event Quote and will be included in the total rental amount.
Clients may hire third-party vendors for their event needs. All such vendors must be made known to the facility Events Coordinator or their designee by the Final Payment Deadline (14 days prior to the event). All third-party vendors must complete the Third Party Vendor Agreement prior to the Final Payment Deadline.
